The recently published new replacement name Exalloanthum Poinar for a fossil angiosperm flower genus was not validly published (Art.41. 5 of ICN) because it was referenced by the whole article and not the single page with the basionym only. Therefore, new genus name Exalloanthum Poinar and E. burmense Poinar combination are validated here by providing the exact basionym page number.
